k100rs airflow meter bypass screw

Hello Everybody. A Happy and Prosperous New Year to all. im using J. Churchills manual but i cannot find the airflow meter bypass screw as  described by him .Viz. top front right hand corner of air filter housing.does my model 86 have this screw? eng no. is 104EA40852143. Help please!

You find a rubber cap at the top of the airfilter housing, close to where the hose to the plenum enters.
Under that cap you find the AFM bypass screw.

Hello Inge. Yes, thats a picture in the manual but i cannot find the rubber cap that conceals the screw. question is: does it exist on my model?

AFAIK it's present on all L-jetronic equipped models, exept Swiss ones.

thanks for the pic. it will certainly help. ill gothru steps to try tocure running rich. ill take off fairing and look at the temp sensor as you suggested last week or so.Tell me are you based in Denmark? if you are then our time zones must be close.

The AFM bypass screw would only affect idle, and a thiny fraction above.
I'm living in Norway..........but it's the same timezone as Denmark.

i see from yr.no that your temp is hovering around zero. but then you are used to it. today its 25 cel. in Capetown. wind gusting up to 110 kms ruined the New Year celebrations for some. i live on slope of Table Mountain and it blows here.

further to my post re running rich i decided to add  half a bottle of Valvolene valve  ease. withina few kms my bike  ceased hesitating and  jerking slightly onheavy acceleration. it now accelerates smoothly thru the  gears. next step is to check fuel consumption.
