Tail Light/Turn Signal Mount Cross Compatibility
« on: September 24, 2012, 10:19:14 PM »
Roomate backed into my bike yesterday knocking it over(Whoopee!) Bust the right turn signal and took a chunk of the mount with it.  I can only find replacements from '88.  I was wondering if all years, versions and sizes of the K bikes used the same part.  I have a '93 K75S.  Same for a new turn signal as well.
Why does the speedo go to 160?

The only difference is the ones made for police were different and had different blinkers that were the same as the airheads but any sold for the general public had the same unit on the rear right through to the end of the K1100.  The front blinkers did have a few changes.

A new replacement amber lens and reflector set is 25 bucks from your local dealer. I just had to buy one the other day. Beemer Bone Yard should be able to help also. Do not know about anything about the mount.

Thanks.  They were close.  Mine had a 50mm hole for a cable gland for the super computer that sits in the tail.  Why the other one didn't I have no idea.  The other one also had two holes on top near the taillight.
It's all good though, everything is back together.

Left: non-ABS.  The right one has that hole in it for the ABS controller wiring.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

The real question is. Where did you hide the body of your room mate? :neener:
