Would someone with a K75RT please advise how much fork tube should there be above the upper triple tree clamp and the end cap.

Mine is flush with the caps.
If you raise the tubes a little higher it will lower the bike a little, and some claim handling is improved because trail is increased. I had it like that for a short while and don't remember much of a difference.
