K75, 1995 rear shock part # ?

Hi folks newbie and my first post here  :embarass:
Today i was really lucky when the stud bolt from the low rear shock snapped and the bike set in the rear tire scraping it till stop completely, thankfully i had just start moving from a stop light and i stopped without any problem. Now I'm looking for the stud bolt and the washer and nut for it .
searching around I found the parts in the schematics ( its the number 22 in here http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated_catalog2/MicroList.aspx?id=51745&catID=33&catname=Rear_axle,_rear-wheel_drive,_control&bindName=REAR_WHEEL_FORK_MOUNTING_PARTS&bindCat=33_0641 ) but cant find the number so i can order it. Any idea what is the part number for that nut ? and also suggestions where to get the stud bolt and the washer and nut ? Thanks in advance....Nick

 Have you tried Beemer Bone Yard?   Frankenduck should be able to help. He might have the part.

The OEM studs are far from what I call good quality and are not far removed from mild steel.
If you get a 12mm machine screw that is long enough, you can cut the threaded bit off and use it for the stud but this is the very important bit USE A GRADE 5 SCREW DO NOT USE A GRADE 8 IT WILL SNAP LIKE A CARROT if you use a grade 8 screw.
I made some from a very well work hardened jackhammer bit after my wife had the same experience but at 130kph.
Any good engineering shop should be able to make a good replacement if you explain the situation or show them where it goes.

I need to thank you all for the fast respond, and for the info. Since in my location the remaining riding time  its close to the end and winder's here are not for riding,  :hmm: I'll get the stock one for now, and during the winder i think i will go with Rick's option. (Rick hope your wife was ok too ).

As i was looking and goggling around for the same prob, looks like quite a few riders have experienced the same problem, hopefully without injuries but its scary when you think about it if it happens in a highway with high speed  :eek2: (as Rick mention).

I had my shock blow off of the stud once.  But that's because I hadn't torqued down the nut properly and it decided to leave about 10k later.  When I hit a man-eating pothole in New Brunswick that's what blew it off and bent the stud. :yow

With the rear fender sitting on the tire the side stand wouldn't deploy fully so I had to flag down some help to get the fully loaded bike up on the center stand.  I'm sure I looked like an idiot trying to flag someone down while sitting on the bike to keep it upright. :laugh

That is EXACTLY what happen to me too. with the difference for my good luck i was in a very low speed (20m/h, just left from the stop light) and i was in the right side of the street so i was sitting on the bike till someone stopped and help me out to put it in the middle stand, he was also a BMW owner  :2thumbup: and knew a place 2 blocks away  :yes that can fix it so i can and keep going. It took 3 people to get it in the trailer and move it to the store. To make the long story short we improvise with a screw same threads and i mek it back home  (100 miles away) but got to get the parts to fix it now correctly.   :hmm:

PS since i got the bike only 2 months don't know why that happen.
