Why do Klassic K's sell for so little $ ?
« on: July 20, 2012, 12:25:52 PM »
Sometimes I think we ride one of the most under-appreciated motorcycles on the planet. Not that this is a bad thing (for us), but I often wonder why this is so. Having sampled the awesomeness that is a K, who would under-rate it?  :dunno

A real cream puff, this one.

That seems to be a nice machine for a great price.
I always look at prices of classic K bikes and they seem to be firm at about $2500 to 3500 out here on the left coast. Three grand will get you a very clean brick, thirty-five hundred gets you a really puss bike.

They don't break, they are cheap to maintain yourself, $$$ at the dealer, the people with cash want newer ones.

Too big for cafe racers, not quick enough for squids, not crashed very often.

All very good observations Max, save that I believe a K75 can be café-ed out quite nicely, I've seen a number of pics and vids of some good examples.

I'm with Tim. We should probably delete this thread, don't want anyone to catch on.  :hide:
