Hand guards

Has anyone ever fitted handguards toa K75s. Coming of a Gsa and wifes africa twin was very suprised how cold mt hands got without hand guards. No heated grips on K75 or twin. Just wondered if anyone tried it. Warm hands are better than stupidity factor and boy is the uk cold at present.

Mine came with a set, but not installed. I sold them to one of the other members.

You can get them from a dealer. They are for the R100, Its pretty much just a direct bolt on.

I have some BMW ones on my K75.

On a K75S they will hit the windscreen before the handlebars get to full lock.

I have moved the handle bars up in the pinch bolts as the riding position was giving me back ache ( body used to gsa/ africa twin) .I had to buy a replacement wing mirror and this catches the screen just on full lock. If I fitted hand guards how bad would they catch the screen and is a larger flip screen /  touring screen a diffrent shape to sort this problem. Going to be doing lots of dull motorway riding so want to be as warm and out of the wind as much as I can. ( heated grips, aux lights.leds in the dash and a bright led stop light for my none standard top box are all on my to do list)

I have a pair of the BMW hand protectors part number 71609062160.

The left hand fits my '95 K100 perfectly, the right hand is designed to wrap around the master cylinder, but it doesn't really match up with my master cylinder. Not sure what the deal is there, but it made is difficult to make the right hand really stable.

Still, they do give some shelter from wind & rain for my hands, weigh nothing, and are pretty cheap.

The part number that will fit K75 and 2V K100 master cylinders is 71602315870. They're for the R100GS of the same era.
