Has anyone used a flex hone on their master cylinders before?

All K-bikes have Nikasil coated cylinders.  They last nearly forever and don't ever require a hone.

Thanks for the tip.

My question was regarding the front and rear master cylinders. Mine have some pitting. I’d like to hone them rather than purchase new ones.

Sorry, I saw the cylinders in the subject and thought engine, not brakes.  I didn't clue in on the "master" part.

The bores are very small for a hone (12/13mm), but I've had success with rolled-up wet or dry sandpaper and solvent or soap water.  No power tools, work by hand slowly and inspect often till the glaze is gone.
Hope that helps.

Wet and dry slipped into a slotted dowel to make a flap wheel. However I wouldn't bother doing it on the rear master cylinder, a new rear can be bought for $1.33 Au. See http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,9364.msg90596.html#msg90596 Once done you will never have to hone a rear master cylinder again. The price of non OEM cups comes to $10.00 for the extra $3.33 I now have a spare in stock not that I've ever needed it.
