First post here, hoping to find folks who may know more about this than I do. I've had this 1994 K75RT for 3 yrs. It's been a trouble free joy to ride. Well, tried to start it today and it barely turned over, like a run down battery, which it was. Removed the battery, had a few volts, took it out and put it on the charger. Meanwhile, connected another car battery with jumper cables. When I made the connection, the starter cranked at normal speed, even with the ign switch off!! So I turned the switch on, connected the battery, it cranked and started! Engine ran fine, battery light went out on the instrument cluster when I reved it a bit, just like normal. No headlight though. Nows get this...when I switched off the ign, engine quits but it's still cranking, and the headlight is ON!
Where do I start? Stuck starter solenoid or what?
Any help, comments appreciated.
