Ahh.. the thrill of the first ride. I remember the first ride of this season on January 1st, 2012 at 9AM. When I hopped on the saddle I spent some time thinking back to the last ride of the prior season, which ended at 6 pm on December 31st, 2011. It was a cool night here in Atlanta so the old K100RS had actually chilled down to about 45 or 50 degrees F by the morning.
I kept myself busy in the off season by topping off my brake fluid and having a beer. Or maybe I topped off my beer fluid and had a break. But anyway, I just wanted to empathize with everyone because sometimes people think that those of us who live in the South gloat about riding all year long and don't know what it is like to miss riding. Like Bill Clinton, we feel your pain :tongue
