and 6 hours later we were on our way... thanks to a local who supplied us with about 10 gallons of water... some needed tools at the 4 hour mark... thats when hopelessness set in... and driving 60 miles round trip to fetch us a new thermostat when i couldnt get the homemade gasket to hold...
limped into yakima and unloaded the bugeye motobrick... took it to
grubin n co
for new rear rubber...
then off to

for a new set of brake pads...
needs some motobrick parts... here they are... enjoy...

chinook pass
... this is the 4th year in a row we had a weekend in yakima... this is the 4th year in a row that we could not see a thing for the cloud freaking...
it was raining at the top of the pass and all the way to sunrise... here a few mountain rivers we saw along the way...
the mysterious flying duck...
gotts the goods and the secret tool...
we roll under cover and replace the rear brakes...
sunrise was a bust...
couldnt see anything except the cloud and the rain... no photos... digicam + rain = no good...
we roll down
cayuse pass
and the 123 to 706 to find the road closed to
paradise
and
