we wanted to ride forest road 1 and titlow road... the longest continuously paved ridge goat in the usa... but its closed due to the harsh winter... we did roll up it for a while but it was looking kinda shaky and we didnt want to get 40 miles into it and have to turn around...

anyway... we met up with ms geonorskie and mr geonorskie for some local moto escorting... who needs moto escorting on the 36 and the 299... im thinking they gotts a whole lotts chores around the house and just need an attitude adjustment...

i was telling ms geonorskie that we had blasted that loop once before and this time we just wanted to slowly meander around and take in the sights... they agreed... but looking back... im thinking they heard that before and the outcome is always much different...

we rolled from the cult of coffee in dowtown redding... placer to platina...

it was a beautiful clear day... we could see forever... mt lassen in the distance... couldnt get the shot for the sun was in the way...

somewheres along this stretch ms geonorskie slows and we see a critter scamper off into the brush... we could see it was brown... possibly a ferrel hog... she reports it was a baby bear...

the wildwood store... the only 91 on the 36...

the 36... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

the van duzen river...

the mad river... one of the six of the six rivers national forest...

just something special about rolling around the redwoods...

rolling the humboldt bay to beautiful downtown acata...

mr geonorskie has an ice cream affliction...

we got sucked into the mess and shared in his misery...

sailboat at whiskeytown...

shasta... the dam... the lake... the mountain...

deer o clock for sure... as we motobrick the valley of the yeeeeehaaaa we fear no sasquatch... but the deer... thats a different deal...

bye bye... thanks for a wonderful day... and in closing... im thinking is impossible to ride the 36 and the 299  slow and meandering...
