Hi all
« on: April 10, 2025, 03:28:25 PM »
New member from the UK (south).

Bought myself a K100 RS 83 sight unseen as a non runner, and now having fun trying to breath new life into her. No heartbeat yet but I will get there. Looking forward to the day I can use it  112350

Welcome!  Getting these beasts running can be a lot of fun.  Don't hesitate to ask if you have a problem.

This is seemingly the only photo I took when I first got it. As you can see it's pretty clean although lacking some recent love, but evidently kept in a garaged well looked after for part of its life. Engine and drivetrain have been painted (v poorly) by a prev owner, black paint on the sump has been applied by Stevie Wonder during a mild earthquake. Frustratingly most of the plastics have been sprayed too.

It was a non runner - fuel pump dead, rubber AV mount for the fuel tank had turned partly to a black sticky tar and the fuel rail was full of debris - guess the injectors were too. HT leads were also on the wrong plugs. I did get it running before starting to take it apart but I think only on 2 cylinders.

Currently looks like the second photo...

Edit - seem to have got the photos arse about face :(
