300 miles santa monica to santa clarita...

start at the chevron on the pch... kick stands up at 8am...

roll to ojai (approx 80 miles from last fuel) and score some fuel...

roll ca 33 to ca 166 and hang a left to the burger barn for lunch...

roll ca 166 to cerro noroeste rd and roll up the hill to pine mountain (approx 110 miles from last fuel) and score some fuel...

roll down to lockwood valley rd to ca 33 to ojai...

roll ca 150 to santa paula....

roll ca 126 to the 5 (approx 120 miles from last fuel) and fuel...

roll home... it will be the 5 to the 210 to the 57 to the oc for us...

here you go...

we rolled out at 1st light and slabbed to the pacific coast highway...

zuma beach...







pelicans catching a thermal... interesting... they were just hanging there not moving an inch...





we rolled up to the 101 to the 33...  the 33 north out of ojai...









flowers starting to pop...





the 33... the lower elevation... yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

frigid and wendy up high...







there it is... the spooky... out of the blue sky and in into the spooky...



elevation 5160 pine mountain summit...  no more photos till new cuymam... m o said she was cold...











we rolled west on the 168 to the new cuyama burger barn...

the cash only gas station is open now again... they had 87 octane regular for $3.09 and 89 octane premium for $3.29... if you see the 4 wheel drive chevy caprice then they are there



ok now... m o the jalapino pepper chee.... j o the chili chee... the burger barn has some fine burgers... well worth the 20 mile there and back detour...







rolling cerro noroeste to pine mountain...









yeeeeeeehaaaaaa... nertly right hander at the end of this stretch... a widow maker for sure...



looking out over the central valley...









it was in the 20s up there... the water beside the road was frozen... but the road was clear of black ice... then we see this...











conclusion.... this mountain is frozen...





after a short stop at the pine mountain general store we rolled lockhart valley rd back to the 33...



not much to the water crossings today... just a dribble...
