Throttle Cable Removal - K75RT
« on: October 10, 2021, 03:24:57 AM »
Hi All
As I continue my K75 resto, I was looking to replace the Clutch and throttle cables. Clutch cable removed with no problems. I have read some previous posts relating to the throttle cables. I have removed the screw and top plate, removed the RH switchblock screw allowing the the switch block to come forward and chocked  the throttle bodies wide open.

My issue is I cannot work out how the cable comes off the throttle chain. It appears the cam and chain has rotated fully around but I am unable to see where the cable joins the chain  :idunno:

Any assistance from the brains trust appreciated

Cheers
Auldy

😩EDIT: Problem rectified, it was the nut behind the handlebars.😩

Whist I had chocked open then throttle bodies, there was still insufficient inner cable travel to allow cable removal at the throttle
On disconnecting the inner cable at the throttle bodies, it allowed sufficient movement at the throttle, to allow inner cable disconnection from the chain mechanism.
