Remote reservoir for front brake master cylinder
« on: July 03, 2020, 03:02:20 PM »
Hi .. I've fitted a 70's style 'Monza' fairing to my brick - The fixed position of the brake fluid reservoir has necessitated the clip on bars to be located quite low (so they do not hit the fairing) - This has resulted in a Ducati 916 riding position which  looks cool but is a but uncomfortable... Ideally I would like to raise the bars.. With a modern MS and remote/ separate reservoir that would be easy but the Brick's integrated switch gear /lever and m.cylinder means that to swap to a new MS is a big drag...  It crossed my mind that it might be possible to remove the old reservoir and plumb in a new one dependant upon what the connections is (I haven't looked) - I was thinking perhaps tapping our the hole to fit a brass tube? Has anyone tried this (My gut feeling is that it's not easy as there is also the little expansion hole into the reservoir..  but I thought I may as well ask).  Thanks
