K75 scrambler NEED HELP!
« on: July 19, 2020, 02:06:42 PM »
Hi Guys!
I am planning to do a k75 scrambler project and I need some help. I would like to do a scrambler which has a rear-end similar to the picture because I would like to go backroading with it and I need more clearance. Any suggestions regarding the build?
My problem is that maybe the swingarm(shaft) is too weak and it will break because the rear shock is longer (it's an YSS shock, please tell me if you know how long could it be) thus the load to the swingarm comes from a different angle. And one more question in connection with the frame modification: in my opinion the frame was cut 15centimeters behind the shock mounting point and then they bent it upwards and then they welded it together with the upper part that is fully custom made, am I right?

Thank you for your help,
I hope sooner or later I can update the thread with the build.

The first thing that will break is the lower shock absorber mounting stud. A few OZ riders on road going Bricks have already experienced this. It will need modifying. See https://www.k100-forum.com/t16298-shock-absorber-lower-brace-k1100
