we got onto tulare ca late last night so we got a late start today... me = up at 5am ready to roll 6am... her = snooze till 9am ready to roll 11am... o well...

first order of business to to visit junior... one of mickis favorite donkeys... he can be fount on the nw cotner of rd 158 and rd 240...





the we wonder through the growing fields... generally it all citrus out this way... but junior was keeping the grapes company today...



we roll south from ca 198 on yokohl rd... no rattlesnakes or tarantulas seen today... just lotts o brown...













we fueled in springville and headed out ca 190...

we made it to the western divide... very scenic but limited places to stop for photos... spectacular views up there...















we took mountain road 50 towards the kern river...









following the kern river... wow... super scenic...











we rolled to the kernville airport for the world famous hamburgers but too late... already closed for the day... so we stopped at christys diner...



m o... soup and grilled chee...





j o... roast beast...



the we rolled ca 155 towards glenville... no photos of the 155... m o was hanging on for her life... ca 155... yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa....

we took some obscure rd to old stage to fountain springs and stopped at the bar there to hydrate ourselves... we drank almost 2  gallons of water today... it was freaking hot... even on top of the mountain... plumb nertly aint it...
