Hello Gurus,
At almost 50, I am not a young man :oldguy: , but I am a noob... Please forgive my ignorance.
My first bike is my beloved 1991 K75 :k75x , purchased 16 months ago - before I got my license. It is my sanity... oh, and my commuter bike.
Unfortunately, I do not get to ride every day, but I have managed to put 24,000 km on it so far.
Problem:
My doctors want me to get rid of my bike, because I sit forward rather than upright. This aggravates an old back injury. Weekly visits to the chiropractor and massage therapy keep me walking between rides.
Questions:
1. Is it possible to simply swap out RT handlebars for the regular bars that I have?
2. Will the wiring/cabling need to be replaced?
3. Will installing the RT bars get me into a more upright position?
I apologize if I have broken any forum rules... This is only the second time I have ever posted on a forum.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Bryan
