Mystery brake pads

Hi -- nice to be back -- been out of service for due to a project.

I inherited a these brake pads along with a parts bike I bought a while ago. The ones with the single groove are a few millimeters narrower than the ones with the three grooves. They have factory green paint on the mounting plate, and there's some pad surface scoring and damage. Anyone have any input as to what brand and whether they're useable in that condition? Any input appreciated...

I don't know what you have there, but I use Volar Kevlar organic pads from eBay for $15 shipped for a full set front and back.  They stop well, and don't tear up the rotors. 

For 15 bucks, I'd toss those old ones.

That's good advice. I'll look for the ones on eBay and put these back in the box with the rest of the inherited misc parts. I have a hard time tossing anything K-related in the trash.

Here's the link to the pads I use.  !0,000 miles so far on mine and still going strong.  I do a lot of commuting and slabbing with that bike.

greetings...

those are raybestos vented racing brake pads...  the cuts help dissipate heat... 

i use them when i ride with crash and m.brane... allows me to whack it harder and choke it later...

I don't know if this is the case or not but the width of the pads for the 2 pot Brembo calipers changed between '87 and '88.  As far as the grooves go, Johnny is prolly right, use the vented ones when you're riding with crazy fast folk.
