Thanks, Don. I'd definitely try the resin/cloth method if a replacement or welding doesn't happen. Give it try on some plastic of a similar density; it'll cost you under 20 bucks for enough supply to repair that, a truck's rusty, perforated cab corner and a few other choice metal or plastic relics. Rubber gloves, ventilation and a temperature above 50ºF are essential. It can get smelly and messy so the kitchen table or prime living space won't fly for this project.
