WTB: Custom Seat
« on: September 28, 2015, 02:35:34 PM »
A seat for a '93K1100LT, but I think seats from K75 etc will fit. Russel, Mayer, Spencer etc. Just completed a SS1000 Iron Butt Ride and it was obvious, my butt isn't made of iron! Let me know what ya got. thanks! Mike.

A couple of options to consider before replacing your seat:

Gel padded bicycle shorts,
a sheepskin cover for the seat.

Thanks Scott, I hadn't thought about the shorts, will look into it. My saddle has been good for average vacation travel; 300-500 mile days but 500+ was too much. Air pad and gel pads might be the way to go also. I am looking at videos about rebuilding your own seat.

Thanks Johnny, The scary part of what you said is that it makes sense.  :yes I think I just found my Christmas gift. I have some long trips planned next year and a pain in the ass would spoil everything.
