Don't ride when you are frustrated and dehydrated
« on: July 21, 2015, 02:20:21 AM »
In a rush the other day which involved a lot of physical effort in the heat. Had to get somewhere on the K and the battery had lost charge. Got further hot and bothered sorting out jumper leads etc when in my biking gear. So I ended up riding while quite badly dehydrated and significantly frustrated.
THIS WAS A BAD IDEA.
ended up misjudging a bend I knew well and rode off the tarmac. Fortunately the edge of the road was fairly level and was dry, so I cut some grass but managed to stay upright and get back onto the road.
Lesson learned - check yourself as well as the bike before setting off.
