SOLD ~ 1987 K100LT
« on: March 05, 2016, 04:52:18 PM »
I've got a 1987 K100LT for sale in Williamsburg, VA.  You will see that I have some posts on this bike over the last few months.  I bought this bike because I was getting back into riding and wanted an inexpensive opportunity to see if I was ready to ride again.  Well, I found I was ready and bought a 2009 K1300s for my new ride and am looking to sell the K100LT.

This has 63K miles, is rough cosmetically but good mechanically.  After having it for about 800 miles it went clunk, and it was the splines on the drive and drive shaft.  After looking around a bit I found a used rear drive and used drive shaft that were about 85% good, and recently replaced these parts and lubed with guard dog moly.  This set me back about $400 for my "inexpensive" ride.  I couldn't bear salvaging it so fixed it and have had it on the road for a couple of hundred miles with no problem.

If anyone is interested I am hoping to sell this for $1,300.  I have the side and top cases which all work fine.  Also some extra parts and tools.

Let me know if you are interested and I will text or email photos to you.

Thanks,

Traitor while it is a K-Bike a K1300 is not a brick why not keep both.  :musicboohoo:

Martin,

I didn't think it would take too long to hear from true brick lovers about this.  I may keep it, but likely cannot due to space and the other toys filling the garage.

Cheers!
