K1100 bulb monitor bypass

Hi
I'm having a series of problems with the pilot / rearlight/brake lights not working & suspect a faulty bulb monitoring unit. Does anyone know of an effective repair, or how to bypass the unit (if advisable)

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
