'94 K 75S shock bumper crumbled ?
« on: February 28, 2015, 06:29:02 PM »
New-to-me '94 K 75S. Today I'm going over it, and when I took the bags off I noticed the shock bumper (I presume) had crumbled and broken off from the shock body?

I'm planning on replacing the shock anyway, probably with a Progressive 412, but I'm curious if others have seen the dried-out rubber detach from the bottom of a stock K75 shock?

I doubt it makes a difference, but all comments welcomed. And, yeah, I'm annoyed I didn't see it before I paid the guy his asking price!

TIA.

Had a Fox shock rebuilt and they removed and did not replace the bumper. They said it was not necessary.
