Idle Vacuum?

What are people's idle vacuum readings on a K75. Mine is about 22 cm/hg. Seems a bit low.

I just measured my K100 and the max I could get was 16cmhg on my carbtune. :falldown:
Anyway if anyones got readings from their K could they post it, I can't seem to find a baseline value and I think this is important for us to have in the site...

its been my experience that vacuum at idle on multi cyclinder gas engines is between 16-24hg.

Variables not in your control is compression ratio/stroke and wear.

What is in your control is fuel mixture at idle.

The engine is going to make maximum vacuum at the most efficient burn.

 In the case of these bikes most of this will be controlled by balance screws on the throttle body. Unfortunately its a common mistake to balance by allowing more air past instead of a equal balance at 900-1000 RPM.
 On the injection with the door style AFM there is typically a bypass on the air box that controls air bypassing the door. The swing of the door controls your fuel amount more air bypassing it will lean the fuel out. I believe I have read that this is the HC/CO adjustment on the K75 and 100's.

At least its some more info as reference.
After your post I checked the valves and my intakes only had a gap of .09mm so I've ordered replacements and hope after the changeover I notice a positive change.

Hope we get more info on vacuum if anyone's got any... :clap:
