Riding pants
« on: June 13, 2013, 09:26:13 PM »
Ok, I have broken zippers on both tourmaster (front zip) and first gear (side zip) pants in the last year. I am looking for quality, rugged waterproof overpants.  Any thoughts?  I am thinking roadcrafters.

Did you contact the manufacture to see if they will make it right? My cheap cyclegear sedici have lifetime warranty on the zippers.

I am not a sales slip saver, so I may have a hard time proving date of purchase.  However, I will repair them.  But, I am leaning towards buying some better quality gear in the hopes I will get more miles between repairs.

i use motoport stretch kevlar police pants... sprayed with fabric care 303 they are waterproof for about an hour... if im gonna be in rain longer than a hour i slip on rain overpants over my motoport pants... this way i can wear pants that breathe 100% of the time and have rain protection as i need it... these come with an internal rain liner as well although i dont use one... the folks that do say it breaths and is 100% waterproof...

if i were gonna go the other way and get armored pants that do not require a rain liner or rain overpants i would go with something with a proven track record from here...
