Tires for K75T to play in the dirt?
« on: June 07, 2013, 04:10:40 PM »
I'm planning on getting my K75T into the dirt a bit this summer, and in need of new tires anyway.

It's hard enough finding street tires for the funny skinny wheels on my bike, the factory sizes are 100/90-18 front and 120/90-18 rear. Does anyone have any experience with dual-sport type tires for these bikes?

There's a handful of options for the rear tire at 120/90-18  (Conti TKC80, Bridgestone TrailWing TW42, plus super cheap-o's from Shinko, Kenda and IRC).

The front tire is slim pickins! At 100/90-18 its all rear tires (and not many at that).

There's a couple of cheap-o 3.0x18 tires (closer to 100/100 18 i guess) that are front/rear (IRC TR-1 and Shinko 244),
or I could choose from among the many rear tires at 3.0 x 18.

Thoughts?
