Horn relay??

Greetings Brickers,

I'm at the beginning of an electronics upgrade, including installation of a 50 amp alternator from Frankenduck, a headlight relay kit from Eastern Beaver, and some LED driving lights. As long as I've got bits all over the garage, I wondered if I should do something about the horn circuit. At some point I will put on something you can hear over the cat's purring, so  I'm wondering if the stock relay and wiring can handle the upgraded equipment on the market. Ancillary questions include would it make sense to beef up the wiring or add another relay after the BWM relay so I can pump some serious amperage to the horns yet to be installed. I'm thinking freight train or equivalent.

There is a horn available called The Banshee Horn that I have heard good things about.

Thanks for the reference material. I still don't know if my stock wiring and relay will handle a louder horn. I guess I'll figure it out while the tank is off.

Stock wiring is probably fine. The relay certainly is.

You will need a bigger fuse. Shared with a few other things: Fan, Indicators(I think. When I blew mine, they went wonky). I just put a 30 amp one in, don't want to worry. I blew a 15 or 20 amp fuse when I had to honk while passing on a hot day. I guess the fan was on, and the stebel nautilus used up the rest of the overhead.
