Budget K75 V.1
« on: March 20, 2013, 10:06:33 AM »
I bought the bike a couple years back for a song, bike wouldn't start(turned out to be a dirty contact in the ignition switch; po thought it was a starter clutch issue) drove it around asheville and Chicago for a couple years as is(only changed the rear shock for a RAM) and got bored: over the winter I have:

Striped every piece off that I could to powder coat; peg plates, fork brace, headlight, etc.  Currently coating the rims and handle bars.
Replaced all fuel lines
spline lube
flush and filled all fluids(except coolant)

Cosmetically: painted all panels, relocated headlight (may get new mounts machined, not too happy how the generic ones look), upgraded turn signals to ones off an 1150r

To do this season: install heated grips, new bars(maybe), design a quick release mount for the z bars, install led reflectors, tail light upgrade of some sort.

Next season: New hand controls, radial rim, remove crash pad relocate switch, aux power and switches, paint tank, cowl and fender, stainless lines, new rotors, rebuild calipers,  powder coat all engine covers and flush coolant.

Typing it for the rest to see constitutes a contract, right?  Now I have to keep up with my todos.
