1992 k75 abs rear brake seems inaffetivereat
« on: January 14, 2013, 01:33:11 PM »
Rear brake seems ineffective and pedal travel seems long. I did mistakenly loosen the wrong screws  and the rear caliber leaked fluid on the pads. I tightened the bolts, bled the caliper and shot the pads and caliper with brake cleaner.

If it leaked with those bolts loose then you most likely pushed the rubber seal in there out of it's normal seating.  Just tightening it back up probably didn't put that seal back where it should be.  You may need to take the caliper apart to inspect it to make sure everything is in the right place.

Check that the pin in between the pedal and the master cylinder piston are lined up properly.
