Trans leaking
« on: August 02, 2012, 01:29:53 AM »
After riding my 1994 K75 I notice a small amount of tranny fluid under the bike after it's sat for awhile. I'm sure this has been covered before as I reacall something about a "Clutch Boot?" in another post. Can anyone help me here?

At the rear of the gearbox is a rubber boot where the clutch pushrod comes through the box to the back.
The actuating arm pushes on it when you pull the lever.  The boots have an unfortunate way of falling to pieces after 20-25 years or so.
If you have a look around the Lieberry you will find that our illusterous leader Frankenduck has made a thread about replacing it.

Thank you Rick! I knew the DuckMeister had written about it, I just couldn't seem to find it last night while looking around in here half asleep. I'm really just in need of the part number and Duck's replacement instructions. I tell you man, without Duck I don't think half of all the Bricks on the road would still be running!

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
