That piece fits between the engine and the fairing to block hot air from burning your thighs. Take the part # off it and go here and you should be able to find a pic of where it goes.

I probably missed it. I'm on pain meds just out of surgery. :giggles

I could not see where it goes on the fiche and don't have a RS but Johnny and Duck both have one and should be along shortly. The LT's is different shaped and fits  between the fairing and air tube that feeds the rail. Same place on the other side but between the fairing and the air box.

Down by the bottom right rear fairing bracket.

i removed those from the bug... less airflow restriction... more air flowing under the tank = cooler tank and seat...

thx all, found it.   the key was the tube shaped portion, fits in the bolt recess of the engine.   :yes
