Springtime in the Rockies
« on: March 08, 2012, 10:51:57 PM »
Interesting spring for me - the weather is such that I'm torn between riding and skiing. Somehow, when I only had the dirtbike, there was never a question - I'd always go skiing as long as there was snow. But now with th' Brick around, it's truly a conundrum. We'll see what happens tomorrow... :hmm:

My advice, do both:

The best part of skiing is that there's no speed limit - unless you're at Squaw Valley....  they have speed Nazis everywhere.....
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Do both:

Ah, good ol' Slim. Best yodeler EVER!

Yah, I gots to build me a rack alright. Then figger out how to ride in my DUCKbill telemark boots. Lotsa times during corn season it's still considerably below freezin' at the the hour one needs to head up th' hill. But hey, I'll already have my ski clothes on n' be toasty warm.

LOVE this time of year. Yesterday I was ridin' in balmy mid 50º weather, today I skied eight inches of fresh pow up at Taos Ski Valley. Tomorrow maybe do both!
