K1100RS & K1100LT question
« on: March 26, 2013, 09:17:02 AM »
So i see this deal on a K1100RS with 2 side cases over here.  It doesn't come with a box on the back, and i think that's by design. i'm interested in the bike, but want that bike with a box on the back, cuz i could use the space on the road.  The LT is a nice bike, but the fairing blocks too much of the road (for my liking).

So let me ask - will a K1100LT rear box mount fit a K1100 RS bike?  Any idea?  The RS is a 1996.

Or, are there any alternatives to putting a box on an K1100RS?

I have a Givi rack on my K1100RS - it takes any of the Monokey topboxes. It replaced the OEM small rack that is of no use whatsoever that sits at an angle on the seat tool hump. The Givi sits flat and fits the 4 original racks mounting holes.

i'm learning that the RS and LT share some of the same blood. Good to know.  Not sure i wanna pull the trigger on what i'm seeing over here, but i sure want it. The K1 is nice, but the RS sure seems like it's a nice ride.  Not sure what i'd do with 3 beemers tho.  It's definitely got me to thinking.  Thanks ya'll!
