riding out of tulare ca this weekend and next...
was gonna roll around the western divide highway and the 23s16 but they are not motobrickable due to the enormous amount of snow in the sierras this year...
so to the goat we go... old surf dog scored us some aaa maps and we saw a loop off the yokohl valley that needs some motobricking...
rolling the porterville bypass...
springville...
laying down on the job...
rolling to the goat...
here it is... bear creek mountain road...
glacial pavement...
end of the road... closed for unknown reason... o well...
back down the hill... i was thinking this is donkey country... look...
dang... they should call this donkey mountain road...
o my... more donkeys...
back on the yokohl valley connector... looking for the other side of the loop...
found it... balch park road...
we rolled it to where it was closed... not really scenic or interesting... just a goat to nowhere...
back on the yokohl valley road...
rolling the 198 to 3 rivers...
we stopped at the gateway for lunch... this is the joint on the s side of the road past the pumpkin bridge...
me... mushroom burger...
mo... french dip...
note... we generally stop at the riverview for lunch... it a few miles back and on the n side of the road...
its much better than the gateway and about 1/2 the cost...
then we rolled back to tulare... riding the generals highway tomorrow...
