what a day... it started with 2 lifestyle riders rolling 25 in the short straights and 15 in the twistys as soon as we gotts to the 178... i pressed them butts they protected their lane... a-holes... after they passed 4 or 5 turnouts i could not take it anymore and made my move... never saw their headlights...

then on the lookout for the popo  on the 395... nothing till lone pine... they were all at the chevron eating corndogs and ice cream cones... yeeehaaaaa...

everybody we rolled up on promptly turned out... 488 miles in 10 hours...

photos later...

Ahhh.....the Eastern Sierras - I never tire of that view no matter what direction one is coming from.  :2thumbup:

I almost made it to the Bristleycones a few years back but got chased off by rain drops the size of quarters at the 10,000' marker.
And it was really cold and windy in early March  :mbird

Yeah M.Brane and I got chased off one October when flurries started and the temperature rapidly dropped.

We did get a picture of M.Brane hugging a bristlecone though before we boogied out of there.

Looks like jo and mo only got to the first parking area. Doesn't look like yawls made it to the visitors' center.

yawl...

i called the ranger station and asked how far we could go... she said to the visitors center... was disappointed when we could only make it to the 1st vista... the ranger was on his way down when we gott up there... im thinking it was open earlier in the day and he had just locked the gate and was heading home...

that ca 168 is on my list of top motobricking roads... it was yeeeehaaaaa...

168....  Roger that.  Goin' in the "To Do" file.  Love the mountain pics with the snow.  And the gopher.  The gopher was really cool.  :2thumbup:
