Another guy handed a K100
« on: September 07, 2025, 05:43:11 PM »
A few weeks ago while working on a project bike the guy from up the way asked if this was "some sort of a hobby?". As this was the third day of dealing with a sticky wet clutch I could only reply "sortta!" "Want a free bike?" Trick question, right! "Sure!" I walked a basket case '86 K100 back to my garage and thought I was lucky and should get a lottery ticket. Now that I've been dealing with it, I find it's like the witch offering Snow White an apple. What was I thinking??!!! While I've gotten it to fire off starting fluid, it has yet to really run on it's own. I look forward to learning from those who have dealt with these bikes for years. Thanks for the welcome!!
