I don't know about that.  Found some near new Gerbings gloves on Craig's List last year for $25 from some dude whose wife was making him give up riding.

I also scored some Warm-n-Safe heated glove liners for $25 a while back.  In foggy misty weather they do a pretty good job at keeping the backs of your hands warm as well.

But the Symtecs are more than adequate 97% of the time.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
