WTB Leaky k75 radiator
« on: October 21, 2018, 05:44:23 PM »
WTB - K75 rad - My k75 radiator has just developed a leak on the lower rt side between the metal rad body and the plastic side- looks like the seal behind the metal to plastic crimping has failed. Is this repairable? Anyone have a good spare?

Send it to these fine folks - https://www.motorcycleradiators.com/. They will pressure test it, find the leak and repair it quickly. They also won't rip you off, and it will cost around the same as buying a used one off Fleabay that may be no better than the one you have now. They just did one on a Yamaha for me I thought was leaking, and they verified it was OK - the fault was a tiny split in a hose really close to the rad, so you couldn't tell.

Most auto radiator repair places won't touch ones off a bike, I have found.

Bob,

As promised I removed my radiator from my parts bike today.  It seems to be in good used condition.

It’s original as the manufacturer date is 86 for my `1987 model.   The foam seal for the screen has deteriorated...cosmetic issue.

$40 plus shipping to Canada.  Tomorrow I can offer a precise shipping price..

Rad issue has been resolved - turned out to be a pinhole leak in the rad hose - thanks for all the assistence!
