K75 fuel pump

91 K75RT. Need a fuel pump. What is the latest on the Chinese ones that are a direct copy and came out a while ago? Also looking into the car pumps that require shims to fit.

TX I am currently running an OEM copy as a experiment, for $36.00 Au I was willing to give them a go. I do however carry my OEM one in the tail, and I was informed that many fail out of the box. I have currently got 1000 K's on it no problems so far, but early days. I did a bit of research when I decided to go with a Chinese pump  and went with a manufacturer. Chrisguzzi is also running one and it is different to mine, his has got a warranty for what it's worth. For more information see this post http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,10054.msg85798.html#msg85798
If you go Chinese be aware that there are heaps of Chinese copies out there, and some will probably fail some not. If you want to play it safe I'd go with Jo's suggestion.

I don't want to spend big dollars. I remember someone sold shim kits to go with smaller auto pumps, but I can't find any now.

Depending on the diameter some inmates have used submersible fuel line to take up the slack. Or look up fuel resistant rubber on the net. I have also amended my previous post so that you can see the post on non OEM pumps.
