Ha, let the lies begin.

How many K whiners in this forum own machines with over 100 K on them ?

Those with 200 K or more please move to the front of the line.

My 1994 K 75 whip has 158,579 and counting.  8)

i still own the bug since i never signed the title... it has 98k on the motometer... butts in all reality that odo didnt work most of the time...
im thinking it was closer to 140k but that is not verifiable...

the burd as 78k on the motometer... i better getts rolling... lotts o catch up to do...

I try to crash them before they hit 60k.  Less maintenance that way. ;)

Bike is at 116K now.   Had 30K on it when I got it in 2000 (it was very nice of someone to do the break-in procudure for me and eat half the value of a new bike), so I'm saving my own 100K party until 2013.

How does one go about getting the "official" BMW 100K miles certificate?

Crash

Take your Beemer to your dealer, they will verify your mileage and send in a form to BMW.  It took about 6 months to get it back with the certificate and mileage medallion.

87K75s.  Ok, the speedo faceplate is from a 85K100, the ignition surround is upside down, the fairing is bogus, the speedo needle fell off, the blinkers are held on with wire ties and it probably has another 20k or so since the odometer was non-functional for a couple years.  But it's been mine since day one.

Do I care? Not in the least!  The only things which matter are 1) Is it safe to ride? and 2) Do you enjoy riding it?  If the answers to both are "yes", then ride it and have fun.  If "no", then fix it or sell it and buy something you DO enjoy riding.

This year did the steering head bearings, rebuilt forks, new shock & new Bridgestones, along with an anti social blown out Lufty pipe my brick is reborn and AWSOME.  I'll take my ratbike over just about anything!   ;D
