Identification of windshield manufacturer
« on: November 12, 2017, 07:13:26 PM »
I bought the following windshield on eBay and it was listed as an original bmw windshield but when I mounted it, it doesn't appear that way.  It slants deeply and vision through windshield is severely distorted.  Any idea who manufactured this windshield?  thanks.

Don't BMW stamp meticulously, nay, religiously every single component with their roundel?

Have a look for it, if it's an original Beemer part, there'll be a stamp.

Don't take my word for it mind, t'was just a suggestion.

. . . it was listed as an original bmw windshield but when I mounted it, it doesn't appear that way.  It slants deeply . . .
I think it might be original and that BMW offered at least two different styles. One was a "Comfort" model; that's probably not yours. :giggles Your style seems to be quite common though in an image search. Maybe it was stocked more in some regions or markets than ln others.

As allready mentioned...look for the bmw roundel. You find it at front center between the mounting
screws, where you also should find the complete part number.
