Howdy from the UK and Dubai at the same time!
« on: September 26, 2017, 04:40:15 AM »
Howdy - just joined up as I owned a K75 based in the UK. It's a K75 RT, though I've already started to strip it back to a naked version.

Previously owned a K1100RS but found it too down and low for me.
Also restored and built an R65 which is with me in Dubai, UAE - where I am currently working.

I'm also helping another friend - British chap also - to get a K75 Cafe Racer on the road here.
Looking for and will provide technical support...

Many thanks

Welcome!  With that handle, are you possibly a jazz musician?

Welcome to the group.  Are there many K75's in the UAE?  Please share pics of the progress you're making stripping down your K75. :bmwsmile

OK - so you have to just remove the s from the youtube https://
then et Voila - Video works..

So now that I've got the hang of that - here's another one - it'll show you what riding in Dubai at night is like, it's way cooler after dark.
This was shot last week on a Cafe Racer Middle East event and shows me riding past the iconic Burj al Arab Hotel in Dubai - it's the worlds only 7 star Hotel..
Hope you enjoy

Nice recording.  Are you a pro?  I'm an amateur and play drums in several groups one of which is a cocktail lounge type of jazz group.  My groups have played that tune many times.  in the Fake books it's listed as "Black Orpheus", and the lounge singers do it in English as "Day in the life of a Fool".  Normally, we play it at a faster tempo around 110bpm.

Nice to hear it at that tempo and to see the actual name of the tune.  Didn't know that.

Nice one... and thanks, being playing Sax since I was kid and used to be in a Band or two, but not anymore... just for pleasure, though I did fire it up yesterday.
Day in the life of a Fool indeed... be great to hear a recording of yours...

We still can't get that K75 running so back to my other post!
