Title: Replacing crazed glass on K100RS temp gauge
Post by: champ7fc on May 30, 2017, 07:33:41 PM
I recently purchased a 1985 K100RS. The goal is to take it apart, replace items that will require replacement and refurbish those that can be. The coolant temp gauge glass is severely crazed, has anyone here ever replaced the glass on the instrument and if so how? I did look through the archive but found nothing.

check this link (http://goo.gl/BRPwkq) out on how... and you can get lens on fleab*y
glass or plastic not sure which is better tho. both have pros and cons.

one thing to note: pls make sure to measure the diameter of the lens after you take it out to know what to order/make.
