greetings...
see all this switch whack... this is how i avoid switch whack...
everyday that i ride i work all my switches... ignition back and forth several times in each position... kill switch back and forth several times in each position... each turn signal and turn cancel... high beam low beam flash to up and down several times in each position... horn... hot grips... 4 ways... abs... all of them...
before and after hibernation i work them out real good... and everytime i ride...
just saying... thats all...

I've taken to doing that too -- my brights switch was getting wonky and after a good workout as per Johnny it's back to normal.

Good, advice, Johnny. I've noticed that the first days out of hibernation things don't work so well. After a few applications of your recommended treatment they seem to do fine for the rest of the season.
I still want to try soldering a thin piece of nickel sliver to the contacts on my headlight switch, kill switch and horn switch to see if I can get some reliability back. Maybe .015 or so.

Same for me.
