Hello Gents,
Well to be honest I'm not sure what I've gotten myself into here...
I had a beautiful 89' Honda CD250U that I built up into a nice little cafe run around that I sold (now somewhat regretting) as I thought that I wanted/needed something bigger.
Long story short, I didn't know which direction to take but it just so happened a good friend of mine was selling his 86' K100RS that he had raped and pillaged parts from for his R65 build. So anyway here I am with a K100RS without a tank, seat, forks, wheels ect ect.... at least I picked it up from him for an absolute song which should give me a healthy budget as I believe the amount of work will be extensive.
I look forward to the knowledge in the forum, thanks for having me and I hope I'm here for a good time not a long time, or maybe a long time if it all works out as after the work involved I don't think I'll ever be selling it!!
Cheers,

Welcome, Jake!
Please post a picture here of your new K-bike's remains. You could then start a thread over in the Projects section so we could all gather around Lazarus and give our profound observations while you work your magic.

Sorry Laitch,
How could I forget! this is a photo of the pickup yesterday.

Welcome Jake!
That's quite the challenge, I think you need another bike to complete what you have.
Maybe for another song you could find a roller without an engine to grab parts off of.
It could be done in a week or a year, I've got bikes that took a decade to piece together.
Stay Strong!

Boy is that ever a naked brick! I agree that the best route is to find a bike with a blown engine. That may take a while, but with what you have already it could be either a K75 or a K100. The parts you need are interchangeable between the two models.
I would start advertising for something that is taking up garage space with a bad engine. Has to be a couple out there somewhere.

Front down tubes on a 75 are at a different angle to the 100. Try to find a 100. Welcome to the asylum.
Regards Martin.

You must be a lousy singer....you didn't get much for your song :hehehe
Just kidding....with weight reductions like that she'll get great mileage!
Good luck....keep the pics coming.
