Title: K75C Side/Battery Panel plastic dowel repair?
Post by: Lastunder on April 15, 2017, 06:10:44 PM
Has anyone broke the black plastic dowling and then repaired it somehow on their side/battery panels?  Mine snapped at the half way point during a poor removal, and I am loath to drop $50+ on a whole new panel.  However, I can't think of anyway to repair the actual dowling as it snapped right where it would fit into the back fairing, therefore any repair would have it's weakest point right at the point of most stress.

I'm thinking of maybe rigging some sort of velcro attachement to hold the back of the side panel in place instead.  '86 K75C, btw

There's a thread about two days old with posts describing two methods of repairing that.

Well that's embarrassing - thanks Laitch.  That thread exactly answers my question, sorry I missed it.

No need. Its remaining here increases the chances of the next person with that problem finding a solution. Good work finding it.
