Title: Again and again!
Post by: Ultima on March 26, 2017, 04:42:16 PM
Hi all,
I write from Paris, France. I am back again into the brick world!
After a  r80 G/S, I bought my first RS as a used bike in 1997 and loved it. I then transformed it into an LT after a crash. Then sold it. Back to flat twins , one or two...
I  then bought a naked K75. Loved the lightness of the coffee grinder for slalom in Paris. But then I sold it too. Bought a few more flat twins a back to brick with a K1.
Super loved that one, I used it for freeway driving up to 1000km in one shot. A real rocket, heavy but so stable a pleasant to drive.
Sold it because the steering  in town and the driveshaft were making it uncomfortable to drive.
I went back to flat twins with a GS Basic from 1996 and a R69s.
Was happy with that until last week when I spotted this add: a K75 Ultima with 25.000 km!!!!
Could not resist... I went to the center of France and brought it back home, 300 km of freeway with a big smile.
Here I am!

welcome back!  had to google Ultima,  looks like that's the RT version over here.  K75's are a hard habit to shake, glad I've kept mine the past three decades along with other bikes that come and go

Yes, don't know if they cross the Atlantic though...
They were the last bunch made to "celebrate" the end of the K series in 1996.
Has electric windshield, heated hand grips and 3 spokes large alloys wheels.
