Title: Do you think I can fit this on my K1100LT???

This is from a K100RS, and I love the K100RS looks, but I own a K1100LT in black. I am going to attempt mounting this fairing for the looks, and have 2 sets of fairings LT and RS :)

Do you guys think it will fit? I've seen people fitting 2 engines in 1 bike, so this should be a piece of cake  :hehehe , anyway, I'm just a bit worried on the fitting of the fairing VS original side panels. I'm not sure how they'll match, but I'm confident...

I fitted a K1100 RS fairing on to my K100RS and that was easy so I can't see it being too difficult - do you have RS bars?

I don't have RS bars... Will it be a problem???

I'm sure it would be a lot harder to install LT fairing on a RS...

It makes no sense to do the RS fairing without the bars.

The thing I would definitely check is that the tanks are the same.  This is important so that the rubber knee panels fit properly as well as the battery covers and the air baffles.  It appears from Filmcamera's experience that they are close enough to work.

But I don't want to convert my LT to a RS, I want to use both systems, so I'm not planning on changing the bars...

Hmm that might work, though I suspect it would look pretty odd.

In the end there is only way way to find out, get busy taking off the LT bits and replace them with the RS bits.

The worst that happen is you have to put the LT bits back on again.
